The following dozen figures are a sampling from one library of 512 images. They are "Strange Attractors" developed using our SA18 Chaos Engine. The possibilities for other images are essentially infinite, limited only by the user's patience and skill. Due to practical space limitations, the figures are shown here at a very coarse resolution, which detracts considerably from their aesthetic appeal. The Chaos Engine develops images at monitor resolutions, producing much better results. The SA18 Chaos Engine and Screen Saver software is freeware, available as the two Zip files : SA18.zip and DllsPlus.zip . SA18.zip contains : the Chaos Engine program file SA18 Chaos Engine.exe, the screen saver file SA18 Screen Saver.scr, the image library binary data file SA18lib.bin, and the descriptive Word document file SA18.doc . DllsPlus.zip contains copies of five required auxiliary files from Visual Basic v6.0, circa 1998. Any of the auxiliary files may be copied to the Windows System sub-folder if missing. Note - The software was developed in Visual Basic v6.0, and is provided "as is" for free distribution, without any warranty or condition of any kind, express or implied, and with the firm understanding that the user assumes all responsibility for any consequences from the use of the software. |
