Kookaburra close-up photos January 29, 2004 |
This kookaburra had just been for a swim in our pool. You can see the wet feathers on the top of its breast. It's different from the bird in the top photo. The brown marking on its lower beak (near the face) is different. This is the only way we can tell them apart - in photos. |

I was trying for a good photo of its eye. Kookaburras have beautiful brown eyes. They also have excellent vision. |
